Jazman

Hello! My name is Jazman and I am a certified fertility and birth doula. As a follower of Christ, I delight in sharing the joy He has given me and the compassion that He has shown me with the families that I serve. At 5 years old I knew that I wanted to "help mommies have babies." Though my journey to birth work was unconventional, I have always worked with young children and their families. In journeying to fulfill our desires to become parents, my husband and I learned that our journey would look different than we had ever envisioned. However, seeking to overcome infertility has caused us to know the Lord in an intimate way, and we are so grateful for that. Thus, supporting families who have, or are in the process of, overcoming infertility is something that holds a special place in my heart.

In my previous work as a psychologist intern and postdoctoral fellow, I provided dyadic and child therapy, while also co-leading a mother-baby therapy group. While supporting these women, I learned, first-hand, of some of the traumatic and disempowering experiences that these women endured while birthing. It was then that my heart was further drawn to the power of doula support as preventative work. In 2020, I resigned from my postdoctoral fellowship position to pursue what the Lord was relentlessly calling me to do. It is my honor and privilege to serve women and their families during such a sacred time as pregnancy and birth.

I firmly believe that every woman is beautiful, their story unique, and their journey cherished. Mama-to-be, you were graced for such a time as this! I desire to support you in experiencing the empowered birth you desire as the presence of God surrounds you and your family.
