Ft. Worth Doula

Aly

Hello! My name is Aly, and I serve the greater Fort Worth area. My husband and I have been married for thirteen years, and have three gorgeous daughters. I love homeschooling our girls, serving at our church, cooking, and spending time with friends and family.

My oldest daughter was delivered at 34 weeks via cesarean due to severe preeclampsia. I struggled with breastfeeding in the beginning, having had very little support and knowledge. After meeting a wonderful lactation consultant, I went on to successfully breastfeed my daughter until she was three years old.

After learning so much through that first year as a new mother, I decided to pursue becoming a Certified Birth Doula, specializing in breastfeeding support, and completed my certification in 2015.

The year after I became a Doula, we relocated to Texas from Northern California. We had our second daughter via gentle cesarean in 2017.

We welcomed our third daughter in 2020 via gentle cesarean. I continued to learn and grow in my education over the postpartum period, and learned about the beautiful work of Bereavement Doulas. I felt prompted to dive into this training and it’s been one of my most challenging and beautiful experiences.

Supporting families in the heaviest losses of their lives has been hard. However, to see the beautiful moments that come through such loss and lament is something indescribable. It is truly an honor to serve in this way, in addition to my work as a Birth Doula.

My hope is to encourage, empower, and inspire mothers to advocate for themselves, be as informed as possible, and make the best decisions as a family moving forward.
